Recap: Hillhouse Academics vs. Foran Lions
The Hillhouse Academics lost against the Foran Lions back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hillhouse took a hard 65-50 fall against Foran. While losing is never fun, Hillhouse can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Foran is ranked 28th).
It was another big night for Faith Doyle, who scored 27 points along with five steals for Foran. The game was Doyle's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Deldin, who scored 13 points.
Hillhouse has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Foran, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Hillhouse will head out on the road to face off against Harding at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harding comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Foran, they will be playing at home against Wilbur Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilbur Cross is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
