Basketball Game Preview: Coronado Dons vs. Dysart Demons

Coronado is 2-8 against Dysart since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Coronado Dons will head out to take on the Dysart Demons at 5:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-5, which was the final score in Coronado's tilt against Eastmark on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Firebirds are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, Dysart lost to Peoria at home by a 65-47 margin on Tuesday. The Demons have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Dysart, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Coronado was dealt a bruising 47-19 loss at the hands of Dysart in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dysart's Brianna Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
