Basketball Recap: Parkland's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If Cathedral wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Parkland, they should've done a better job of containing Diego Castillo. The Parkland Matadors came out on top against the Cathedral Fighting Irish by a score of 46-36 on Saturday thanks in part to Castillo, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January.

Parkland's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Cathedral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Parkland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-40 defeat against Eastlake on the 7th. As for Cathedral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-52 victory against Riverside on the 10th.
