Basketball Recap: Crocker Comes Up Short

If Crocker was riding high fresh off their 57-26 takedown of Chamois on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crocker Lions fell just short of the Climax Springs Cougars by a score of 40-38 on Tuesday. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Crocker's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Climax Springs, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions face off against the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Stoutland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Crocker likes a good challenge. As for Climax Springs, they will be playing at home against Chilhowee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
