Football Recap: North Schuylkill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jim Thorpe last Friday, North Schuylkill came back down to earth. The Spartans had to suffer through a 49-18 loss at the hands of the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers. The Spartans have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

North Schuylkill's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

North Schuylkill and Northwestern Lehigh should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Spartans (ranked 117th) will meet Bangor (ranked 392nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwestern Lehigh will challenge Pottsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (59 vs. 203).
