Tuscola came tearing into Tuesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pisgah Bears by a score of 6-1. The Mountaineers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

Amos Rich made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 19 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Rich wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Williams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in February. Another was Isaiah Hyatt, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Tuscola pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Pisgah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Tuscola wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-4 loss against Apex Friendship on the 2nd. As for Pisgah, they have also already played their next match, a 13-7 win against East Henderson on the 3rd.
