Baseball Game Preview: Taft School Big Red vs. Trinity-Pawling School Pride

The Taft School Big Red will face off against the Trinity-Pawling School Pride at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Taft School has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Taft School came out on top against Loomis Chaffee School on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Big Red skirted past the Pelicans 7-6.

Noah Jettelson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar Minaya, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Trinity-Pawling School suffered their biggest loss since May 22, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to Westminster School. The Pride haven't had much luck with the Martlets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Trinity-Pawling School saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Cruz, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Taft School is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Trinity-Pawling School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
