Basketball Recap: Bryce Valley Comes Up Short

If Bryce Valley was feeling good fresh off their 72-51 takedown of Escalante last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bryce Valley Mustangs fell 47-38 to the Wayne Badgers on Saturday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Badgers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Bryce Valley still got an impressive performance from Antonio Moreno, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Moreno a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Andrus, who put up five points and five steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Peterson, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Peterson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Lee, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Bryce Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

As of now, neither Bryce Valley nor Wayne have any future games scheduled.
