Baseball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-2 to the Little River Redskins. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Marion saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Looper, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Looper brought in this season.

Marion now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Little River, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Redskins beat Marion by a score of 18-4 later that day.
