Baseball Recap: West Orange Takes a Loss

West Orange and Lake Mary squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Orange had to settle for second. They came up short against the Rams, falling 17-7. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Javier Rivas and Kas Ocasio stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rivas got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Ocasio got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Ocasio is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Aiden Schwartz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Lake Mary, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

West Orange wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 loss against Hagerty on the 23rd. As for Lake Mary, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Lake Brantley on the 17th.
