Basketball Recap: Chiles Skates Past Republic with Ease

Chiles saw some tournament action on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat RePublic 65-31. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Timberwolves this season.

It was another big night for Gabe Parks, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Isaiah Bundrage was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Chiles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matches.

Chiles now has a winning record of 7-6. As for RePublic, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chiles will take on North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for RePublic, they will host Stratford at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
