For the second straight game, Orangefield will face off against Kountze. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Orangefield Bobcats duke it out with Kountze Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orangefield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Orangefield took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Kountze a 4-0 shutout. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Carson Gonzales, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Kountze off the board. Gonzales has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Orangefield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Menard, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Cole Sanches was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Orangefield's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Kountze, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.
