Football Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

Toms River North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Regional Rams. The Mariners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Toms River North's record now sits at 1-4. As for Southern Regional, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Toms River North will venture away from home to take on Toms River South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern Regional, they will head out to challenge Lacey Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rams 7, the Lions 14.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
