Softball Recap: Heritage Has No Trouble Against Rock Ridge

While Heritage put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Rock Ridge. The Pride were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Phoenix. The victory continues a trend for the Pride in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won nine in a row.

Noelle Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Dooley, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Heritage's record is now 12-7. As for Rock Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Heritage is taking a road trip to square off against Loudoun Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pride's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. Rock Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
