Football Recap: Myreon Lowe and Dave Dawes Pace Southeast Defense + How To Watch

Southeast had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 4-1 to make it four. They came out on top against the St. Petersburg Green Devils by a score of 22-14. For the Seminoles, this counts as revenge for the 34-2 win the Green Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Marvelous Jackson was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 54 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Southeast's defense stepped up as well, laying out Cole Underwood six times. The heavy lifting was done by Myreon Lowe and Dave Dawes, who racked up four sacks between them. Southeast got some further help from Kahleb Crawford: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.

As for St. Petersburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. They gained 89 more yards on the day, but it was Southeast that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, St. Petersburg had strong showings from Underwood, who threw for 318 yards and one touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes, and Blake Dickinson, who picked up 180 receiving yards and one TD. Dickinson really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 84 yards.

Southeast has already played their next matchup, a 42-0 victory against DeSoto County on the 3rd. As for St. Petersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-14 defeat against Largo on the 3rd.
