Softball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. San Ysidro Cougars

The High Tech SD Storm will head out to face off against the San Ysidro Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. High Tech SD has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

High Tech SD came up short against Hilltop on Monday, falling 20-2. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

High Tech SD saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elise Joseph, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Joseph's first of the season.

Meanwhile, San Ysidro lost 23-7 to Monte Vista on Thursday.

Arianna Zuniga was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Sarah Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

High Tech SD's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for San Ysidro, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. High Tech SD hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .411. However, it's not like San Ysidro struggles in that department as they've averaged .412. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

High Tech SD suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to San Ysidro in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Storm avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
