Soccer Recap: Cypress Park Takes a Loss

Cypress Park lost against Cypress Woods back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cypress Park Tigers came up short against the Cypress Woods Wildcats, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Wildcats are ranked 99th).

Cypress Park's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Cypress Woods, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Cypress Park will challenge Waller at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Cypress Woods, they will host Bridgeland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Woods knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Bridgeland likes a good challenge.
