After losing to Licking Heights the last time they met, Licking Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers skirted past the Hornets 3-2. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Hornets on their court since September 20, 2022.

Licking Valley was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-102), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-13.

Emma Rhodes paced Licking Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Rhodes got some help from Sami Whitehair and her 12 assists. Kylee Waters controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Licking Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Licking Heights, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10.

Licking Valley has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Watkins Memorial on the 7th. As for Licking Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 7th.
