Basketball Recap: North Canyon Falls to Carl Hayden Community in First Game of Season + How To Watch

North Canyon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 58-5 loss at the hands of the Carl Hayden Community Falcons on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Carl Hayden Community found their leader in freshman Emari Hobson, who posted 21 points along with six steals and five assists. Janiyah Moore was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Canyon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Camelback at 5:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Carl Hayden Community, they will welcome Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
