Basketball Recap: Heartland Lutheran Drops Season-High Score on Palmer

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heartland Lutheran). They blew past the Palmer Tigers, posting a 61-25 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Red Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Heartland Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Francl, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Francl is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ema Marie Koch, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 21 points.

Heartland Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Heartland Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Palmer, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
