James River Midlothian is 7-1 against Powhatan since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rapids will venture away from home to square off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. James River Midlothian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

On Monday, James River Midlothian made easy work of Monacan and carried off a 10-3 victory. The Rapids might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Jayden Grant made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Eli Hulette was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Powhatan had just enough and edged out Patrick Henry 2-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

James River Midlothian's record now sits at 5-1. As for Powhatan, their record is now 4-2.

James River Midlothian came out on top in a nail-biter against Powhatan when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Rapids have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
