Softball Recap: Carlmont Comes Up Short

Carlmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-0 to the King's Academy Knights. The Scots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Jordyn Sbragia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

Carlmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Carlmont is set to challenge their familiar foe Burlingame at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, King's Academy will square off against rival Woodside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
