Volleyball Recap: Americas Extends Winning Streak to Four

Americas had won three straight games and Sydney Avila did her part to make it four on Friday. The Trail Blazers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eastland Mavericks with plenty of help from Avila, who had 12 digs and six assists. Avila is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Americas' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Eastland, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Americas will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Eastland, they will welcome Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
