Softball Recap: Angola Comes Up Short

Angola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fremont Eagles. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Angola's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fremont, they moved to 6-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Angola will challenge Prairie Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.91 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fremont, they will face off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
