Basketball Game Preview: Timber Lake Panthers vs. North Central Thunder

After both having extra time off, the Timber Lake Panthers and the North Central Thunder will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Timber Lake faced off against Mobridge-Pollock last Saturday. Timber Lake took a 59-42 bruising from Mobridge-Pollock.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took their game last Saturday with ease, bagging a 51-16 victory over South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley]. That looming 51-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Thunder yet this season.

Timber Lake now has a losing record at 1-2. As for North Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Timber Lake against North Central when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 69-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Lake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
