Recap: Massena Raiders vs. Franklin Academy Huskies
With a playoff game on the line, the Massena Raiders rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 68-58 win over the Huskies. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Colin Patterson, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Mulverhill, who scored 17 points. Garrett Osborn was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Massena's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Franklin Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Massena's road trip will continue as they head out to face Harrisville at 7:45 p.m. on February 27th. One thing working in Harrisville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. Franklin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
