Basketball Recap: Candlelight Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Candlelight Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 52-22 loss at the hands of the Florida College Academy Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent loss being a 40-17 defeat two weeks ago.

Skyler Taylor was Candlelight Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

Candlelight Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Florida College Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Candlelight Christian Academy will take on Winter Haven Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florida College Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
