Soccer Recap: Hahnville Falls Short Against Ranked Mt. Carmel

On Tuesday, Hahnville faced Mt. Carmel in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hahnville Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Carmel Cubs. The shutout was out of character for the Tigers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2024.

Hahnville's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3-1. As for Mt. Carmel, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1-2.

When Hahnville and Mt. Carmel next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hahnville will try to stop Thibodaux's six-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Mt. Carmel will challenge St. Joseph's Academy and their three-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
