After both having extra time off, the Canon City Tigers and the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.
Two weeks ago, Canon City didn't have quite enough to beat Thomas MacLaren School and fell  3-2. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Highlanders  25-21 in the first  set.
 Canon City started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 20-25, 25-15, 25-23,  15-9.

 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Noah Donald, who  had 18  digs. That's the most  digs  he has posted  over his last five  contests.  Maikah Aragon also deserves some recognition as  he  had his first  kill of the season.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART was not able to break out of their rough patch  last Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They fell  3-1 to Thomas MacLaren School.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 17-25,  25-16.
 Canon City's defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
 Everything went Canon City's way against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART in their previous matchup  on March 11th, as Canon City made off with  a  3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canon City since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
