Football Recap: Shippensburg Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Shippensburg has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost to the Warwick Warriors on the road by a 23-7 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Warriors are ranked 81st).

Brady Maciejewski threw for 39 yards on three of nine attempts. Noah Garvin was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Damien Horan rushed for 82 yards on only eight carries.

Shippensburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Warwick, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Shippensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warwick, they are taking a road trip to take on Solanco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
