Baseball Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss

Robinson extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 7-9. They fell 10-6 to the Paris Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Maroons of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Reese Johnson and Jetson Hoalt stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Hoalt went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Gunner Hoalt, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

As for Paris, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

On Paris' side, Marcus Hutchings was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kipton Bradford, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Robinson will head out to challenge Dugger Union at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Paris, they will venture away from home to face off against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
