Basketball Game Preview: Glenn Eagles vs. Cerritos Dons

Glenn is 0-10 against Cerritos since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Glenn Eagles will challenge the Cerritos Dons at 7:00 p.m.

Glenn is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Artesia on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Glenn had to suffer through a 56-10 loss at the hands of Artesia. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cerritos, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They strolled past Oxford Academy with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 68-51.

Cerritos' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Glenn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Glenn was taken down by Cerritos 78-18 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Glenn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
