Basketball Game Preview: Mound-Westonka White Hawks vs. St. Anthony Village Huskies

The Mound-Westonka White Hawks will take on the St. Anthony Village Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Mound-Westonka's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while St. Anthony Village has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

While Mound-Westonka didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over Minneapolis Southwest on Friday.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony Village didn't have quite enough to beat Academy of Holy Angels on Friday and fell 77-75.

Mound-Westonka's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for St. Anthony Village, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Mound-Westonka beat St. Anthony Village 74-66 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Mound-Westonka repeat their success, or does St. Anthony Village have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
