Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Quinter's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Quinter extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Bryn Gillespie. The Quinter Bulldogs blew past the Trego Golden Eagles, posting a 67-26 victory thanks to Gillespie, who went 9-for-12 en route to 23 points and five steals. What's more, she also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Braelyn Blackwill was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds. Blackwill is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Trego lost on Monday, don't look at Tegan Lang. Despite the final result, she posted ten points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Morgan Brown, who scored eight points and three steals.

Quinter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Trego, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Coming up, Quinter will face off against Decatur Community at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Quinter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Trego, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Golden Eagles duke it out with the Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Norton will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Trego surely won't give up without a fight.
