Volleyball Recap: Hazleton Area's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Redeemer, Hazleton Area was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lackawanna Trail Lions 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Hazleton Area got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-12.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Lackawanna Trail, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Hazleton Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Blue Ridge on the 9th. Lackawanna Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
