Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest). They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Overhills Jaguars on Wednesday. Given Pinecrest's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Overhills are ranked 457th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Pinecrest and bumps their season record up to 3-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those two contests. As for Overhills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
