Preview: Georgetown vs. East View
Georgetown and East View are an even 3-3-4 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The Georgetown Eagles will be playing at home against the East View Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
Georgetown has not lost a match since January 19th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Cedar Creek finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, East View waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. Their defense stepped up to hand Hendrickson a 4-0 shutout. That four goal margin sets a new team best for East View this season.
They hit Hendrickson with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Julian Bariga,
Joaquin Lumbreras,
Damian Cantu, and
Hector Morales.
Georgetown's draw gives them a new season record of 9-1-4. As for East View, they pushed their record up to 8-2-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Georgetown came out on top in a nail-biter against East View in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Will Georgetown repeat their success, or does East View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
