Recap: Nunamiut Amaguq vs. Alak Huskies
The Nunamiut Amaguq entered their tilt with the Alak Huskies with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Nunamiut enjoyed a cozy 79-64 win over Alak on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Nunamiut to victory were Justus Mulcahy and Tyler Hugo. Mulcahy scored 21 points along with three steals and two blocks, while Hugo dropped a double-double on 24 points and 25 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Mulcahy posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Gordon, who scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Nunamiut's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Alak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.
