Football Recap: Woodland Christian Starts off Right with Win over Woodland

Woodland Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Woodland Wolves 52-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cardinals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Wolves are ranked 744th).

Although Woodland took the loss, they still got scores from Ruger Hays and Cohen Dwyer.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland Christian will take on St. Vincent de Paul at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodland, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Lincoln at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
