Basketball Game Preview: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Malakoff Tigers

Eustace hasn't had much luck against Malakoff recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eustace Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Malakoff Tigers at 6:10 p.m.

Eustace is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Edgewood. While Eustace didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Edgewood 13-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Malakoff duked it out withWinona on Tuesday. Malakoff's defense stepped up to hand Winona a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Malakoff has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points per game. As for Eustace, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Eustace was dealt a bruising 56-18 loss at the hands of Malakoff when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Eustace avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
