Waskom made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ore City, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Rebels on Friday. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Waskom let Jaxon Hicks and Nate Espy run wild. Hicks scored four runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Espy scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, Espy posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Bubba Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Waskom moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak. As for Ore City, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-7.

Coming up, Waskom will head out to face off against Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Ore City, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. The Rebels will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Lions will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
