Volleyball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee lost against Northwestern on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Braves fell 3-1 to the Warriors.

Hayden Stewart paced Shawnee's offense, picking up eight kills. Stewart got some help from Jillian Jennings and her 23 assists. Jennings was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Shawnee dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Northwestern, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Shawnee has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against North Union on the 2nd. As for Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Graham Local on the 1st.
