Volleyball Recap: Rise Kohyang Comes Up Short

Rise Kohyang was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the USC Hybrid Trojans, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tritons haven't been shut out since back in March.

Rise Kohyang was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made USC Hybrid work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 28-26.

USC Hybrid got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elsworth Felix out in front who had 12 kills and seven digs. Felix is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games he's played. Jaaziel Aguilar was another key player, getting eight kills, six aces, and two blocks.

Rise Kohyang's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for USC Hybrid, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Rise Kohyang will head out on the road to take on Brio College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for USC Hybrid, they will be playing at home against Animo Robinson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
