Basketball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Takes a Loss

Ashland-Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 46-30 bruising from the Wahoo Warriors. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Gretchen Seagren had an outrageously good game for Wahoo as she went 7 of 12 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Emerson, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points.

Ashland-Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wahoo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

When Ashland-Greenwood and Wahoo next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Ashland-Greenwood will try to stop Milford's three-game winning streak when the meet at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Wahoo will try to stop Arlington's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
