Soccer Recap: Highland Park Extends Winning Streak to Six

Highland Park had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They never let the Turner Lions get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Give the Scots' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Highland Park's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Turner, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Highland Park will head out to take on Wakeland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Wakeland's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Turner, they will welcome Creekview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Turner is facing Creekview at the right time seeing as Creekview is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
