Baseball Recap: Clark Drops Season-High Score on Roosevelt

Clark had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-6 to make it five. They took a 23-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Rough Riders. On the bright side, the 20- run performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring game to date.

As for Roosevelt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games.

For Roosevelt's part, Adrian Vera was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. Vera is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Rigoberto Padilla Puerto, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Roosevelt has already played their next contest (against Orr), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clark will be paying especially close attention to the Rough Riders' match: after the Rough Riders face off against Collins, they'll take on Clark again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
