Basketball Recap: West Bladen Knights vs. Fairmont Golden Tornadoes

West Bladen came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 76-16 defeat at the hands of the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-13.

Despite the loss, West Bladen still got an impressive performance from Kali Allen, who posted seven points and five boards.

Fairmont was led to victory by Lyric McNair and Aaliyah Duran. McNair went 12-for-17 on her way to 24 points and eight rebounds, while Duran dropped a triple-double with 11 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. Thanks to that strong game, McNair now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Taniya Simms, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards.

West Bladen dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Fairmont, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.
