A Season-Best Performance from Jaquan Griffin Leads Middlesex over Charles City

Middlesex was led to victory by Jaquan Griffin, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Griffin rushed for 358 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 18.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards.

Charles City's probably not too fond of Griffin given he always seems to get the better of them. When Griffin last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he picked up 37 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Shane Jones Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

On Friday, Charles City had to settle for second even though Shane Jones put up the best numbers he has all season. Jones rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.

Charles City is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Jones and Charles City will head out on the road to challenge King & Queen Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chris Delaney's Big Game Leads West Point over King & Queen Central

Chris Delaney posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

On the year, Delaney has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 70.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.
