New Smyrna Beach had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Seabreeze Sandcrabs on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-0 victory. The Barracudas' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brooke Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Valerie Hausknecht was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Jaclyn Betti was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

New Smyrna Beach always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Seabreeze, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

New Smyrna Beach has already played their next match, a 13-2 loss against Bishop Moore on the 10th. As for Seabreeze, they will take on Deltona in a tournament on Monday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Sandcrabs surely won't give up without a fight.
