Softball Preview: Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Scotties vs. St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee Bulldogs        
        
		
            The Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Scotties will square off against the St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee Bulldogs at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2  runs per game  this season.
On Tuesday, Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua earned  a  6-2 win over Sidney. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Scotties.
 Brynn Donaldson was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  double. Those  two  runs gave  her a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  CharLee McColly, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tessa Miller, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.
Meanwhile, St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee had already won six in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven back in April. Everything went their way against the Blue Hawks as they made off with  an  11-1 victory.
 Alecia Steele and  Maia Christopher did most of the damage at the plate:  Steele  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base, while  Christopher  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Avia Lee was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
 St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thompson Falls only posted  an  OBP of  .143.
 St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
